Tomorrow night is a very cool night for my Poker room. Annie Duke and her boyfriend Joe Reitman will be coming to play my 60 dollar Tuesday night poker tourney. I have a 60 buyin tourney every Tuesday and Thursday at my house in Sherman Oaks. I’ve get a consistent 3 tables to my games, and more times than none, get about 5 to 6 alternates. I have the best game in the valley and i started running these games a little over 2 years ago, because none of the Casinos have this kind of structure.
I throw a 5000 chip, 20 minute level tourney twice a week, and get regular celebs like Canseco, Mehki phifer, Jeremy London, and High School Musicals Jordan Bleu….or at least I think that’s what his name is. Basically i run a very cool game, and it’s gotten out there to alot of the other pro’s. On Sunday Night, Joe Stapleton came and filmed my game while gathering interviews for his sports show Poker2Nite. He and Sebok heard about my game and thought it would be a good spot. I’ve been very lucky with the turnouts and respect my games have gotten over these few years.
So anyways, a few weeks ago, Annie Duke asked me via Facebook to come support her charity tournament at Commerce Casino. I did, i represented well. They introduced me as a poker pro slash actor. I had fun, knocked out Jerry Yang, Alan Cunningham, Ali Nejad, and Joe Stapleton. I ended up getting sucked out on when the blinds became outrageously big and it was just an all in crap shoot. Idiot to my right went all in blind, i called with AK, he had QJ and flopped a Q. He then donated my chips by going all in blind the very next hand with 62os. I had fun that tournament though.
Got to play with my teammate Jerry Yang again, and then we did a satelite together. Because of my participating in that tournament, Annie wanted to play in one of my tournaments.
So tomorrow is the day, and my poker room gets to add another name to the Aude’ poker wall of fame. This is going to be a good year for me. Just 2 more months until the Aussie Millions. Alot of good things to come…
