Daniel Negreanu: Smiling Face

The story of this Canadian player began in 1967, Daniel Negreanu’s parents left their native country, Romania searching for a better life in the New World. The family  moved to Canada, starting a new life in this friendly country. This is the begin of young Daniel’s life, which was difficult form the start, he was a “problem child”, he decided to left high school in order to pursue his dream: become a poker player.

The begining of a champ: Negreanu

Negreanu started to play in local casinos in Toronto, where since the begin he prove his skills, building a solid bankroll and thinking to do the big step going to Sin City searching for big luck in Las Vegas.
He was only 21 when he went to Las Vegas for the first time with is bankroll and his dream to become a pro poker player. Daniel had to face a cruel reality in no time, he was not ready for the Strip and he had to come back to Toronto and start to built his bankroll form zero.
His lucky year was the 1997, Daniel won 2 important events playing at the World Poker Finals, showing his skills to the world and finally becoming a pro player. All these events bring to him a good amount of money. The next year, he won his first bracelet in the WSOP 1998, playing Pot Limit Holdem event, at that time he was the youngest player to win a so important tournament. This brings him to the fame and his smile and friendly face did the rest. He was a particular player at the tables as he is in the present days. He is not an ordinary player. He fastly become a millionaire, the people loves him and the other player too, thanks to his positive attitude. All these factors help him to become a celebrity in the poker world. Winnings is not enough to become loved by the crowd as many players have admitted, Phil Hellmuth is the perfect example.
Daniel Negreanu is weel known to everybody for his talent reading the opponent and his way to guess the cards of the other players. This skill is pretty amazing and if you watch the face of the Daniel’s opponent when he calls their cards aloud you will understand why.
