David Williams is a particular player, he scored a 4.0 GPA and also a mirable 1550 SAT score, with these atatistics he was admitted to Princeton he chose the way of Magic poker player, his roots are pretty weird, he travelled across United States and Canada performing his tricks. A strange background for a pro poker player, but no so weird, cause a lot of players like to do magic tricks and Magic poker. This last discipline is a mix of different strategic games, a card game which is similar to chess and poker, but obviously unique and different from both games. It’s a discipline not really famous in Europe, but pretty spread in America.
David Williams started to play poker when he was suspended from the Magic tournaments. At that time he started to learn how to play poker and found in this game a new exiting world ready to be discovered. He began to play online and live at the same time, he choose high stakes level, so big competiotion for him form the begin. Like the Italian Champion Luca Pagano, also Williams had MAarcel Luske as a master and mentor, in 2004 David won a satellite on PokerStars in order to partecipate to the 2004 WSOP. This event has changed his life forever.
He never thought about playing in a huge event like the World Seires of Poker is, but this was his chance to prove his abilities and he did great ending in 2nd position, facing Greg Rymar in the final heads up. After this incredible earning in money and fame, he signed for Bodog Poker as pro poker player, playing alongside others unbelievable players like Justin Bonomo andJean-Robert Bellande. In 2006 he got to two WPT final tables. He earned 6.500.000$ so far.
David Williams was in a huge scandal when voices claimed that he had perfomed in home-made porno movies. Obviously David denied this statement, but there was a lot of noises around him.
