Doyle Brunson: A legend

Doyle Brunson is without doubt a legend in the poker world around the globe. Everybody knows his face and his hat. He is one of the grats. There are no many old school players in the circuit and Doyle is one of them. Brunsons’s career and life are full of achivevemnts, not many players are like him, maybe nobody is.

He grew up in another poker world but he is still in the poker system.
He was born in Texas in Longworth, so he got the nickname “Texas Dolly”, he was the author of the omst important book of the poker literature called Doyle Brunson’s “Super Syst
Doyle Brunson, who was born in Longworth Texas, hence the name “Texas Dolly”, is th few years of that hige success he wroto helped by few players Super System two.
He got two sons in the poker world, Pamela and Todd Brunson that are decent poker players with an heavy name on the shoulders. How this living legent come to be a gambler, a poker player? He did not aspire to become a poker pro, he watnted to become a professional Athlete like many of his generation. At the time poker was not spread around the globe like it is in the present time. The players were more gamblers that poker stars like now. His sport career ended with a bad knee injury in college, so his dream crashed and a new world opened in front of him.
Doyle Brunson has been considered for many years the finest poker player in the entire globe.  He spent almost 50 years in the game becoming a legend like we said before. He won 10 WSOP brecelets: 1976 playing Deuce to Seven Draw, in 1977 Seven-Card Stud Split event, in the year 1978 Seven Card Stud, in these years Texas Hold’em wasn’t so famous like in the present days. In 1979 he won the Mixed Doubles, after few years with less achivements he won again in 1991 winning the No Limit Holdem event, in 1998 getting the Seven Card Stud event, in 2003 winning the most difficult event which is H.O.R.S.E.. He also won in 1976 and 1977 two champion event titles.
His winnings in tournaments exceed $4.3 million. Doyle Brunson was one of the few (only 3) to get into the Poker Walk of Fame, the other two player are James Garner andvGus Hansen.
