How to play against Tight player Pre-Flop. Part 2

You have to understand if the table you choose could be good for this kind of strategy, cause it depends on the skills of the opponents and not only on yours. So you’ve to check if there are possibilities to do it or if you have to find another table.

Play as a donk

Your opponent easily understand that a maniac raising 60% of the hands couldn’t have always good ones, but since selecting only premium starting hands is their common behaviour they couldn’t re-raise if they have not  a big hand.
If these players follow the beginners book of strategy they never re-raise with hands like:AJ, KJ or QT, they at least simply call.
If they call, you’ll have the opportunity to hit something with your wild cards, you will normally start as underdog, but even 8-2 off can hit a good Flop. Do you want to know another advantage of this strategy?
You will get called many times. Even if you choose to play solidly when the dealer show the Flop and after Turn and River, possibly your opponents will still see your behaviour as a donkey players acts, thinking about you as a big bluffer who bluff all the time because of your Pre-Flop strategy was pretty loose. This could be an advantage if you know how to manage it, obviously could be a pain in the ass sometimes. But you are not crazy and surely you are not a donk, the only thing is that you are trying to take advantage of the behaviour of these passive players. You are searching for their weakness and use it as a weapon against them. In few words, when you find a table where your opponents fold most of the times Pre-Flop you can create an image as a donk easily, so when you got that you can easily switch your strategy about the Flop, the Turn and the River, the other players at the table will surely continue to see you as a crazy bluffer, but they are watching in the wrong way and they couldn’t be more wrong about you. So, give it a try and see if you can be a donk for few hands and after that becoming a solid player to take advantage of the image you have created.
