As you might have already read, I have been sponsored by Gloss Poker to play a few live events around Ireland. The biggest of which will be the Boyle Poker IPO (International Poker Open).

So Boyle Poker have put on a promotion to try and get poker players playing on the site. If you can generate 250 points in August, you start with a extra 1000 chips in the IPO. Generate another 250 points in September and get another 1000 chips.

I don’t usually play at Boyle Poker, but I’m sure the extra 2000 chips would come in handy at the IPO. So I deposited $100 and went to two heads up cash tables, 50c/$1. So the good news. It took me less than an hour to clear 250 points. The bad new. It took me less than an hour to blow $100.

So to be honest, I don’t think it was a bad day. I got my 250, which is what my main goal was. So mission completed. Just hope next month I can get 250 points for a cheaper price. Maybe have some spare from my $100.

If your looking to play the IPO it’s scheduled for the 16th-18th of October. Buy in is $250 with Boyle Poker putting up an extra $25,000. They expect a estimated prize fund of $300,000, with the winner going away with over $50,000. You need to register online at Boyle Poker.
