Differances between a Live Poker Player and Online Poker Player

Online poker is so popular now that every other person you meet in the street plays online poker. And the other half usually play facebook poker. Where as the live poker scene is still fairly exclusive. To be noticed in the live poker scene, you either have to be an outstanding player like Phil Ivey or have a mouth like Mike Mattusow.

Live players and Online players have many differences. Sometimes the only similarity is poker.

The average Online Poker player is 19 years old.
The average Live Poker player is 65 years old.

The average Online Poker player lives at home with their mum.
The average Live Poker player live at with there 19 year old Girl friend.

The average Online Poker player’s house is a semi detached council house.
The average Live Poker player’s house is a 16 room mansion.

The average Online Poker player holiday’s in Blackpool.
The average Live Poker player holiday’s in Las Vegas.

The average Online Poker player play’s 140 hours a week of poker.
The average Live Poker player play’s 124 holes of golf a week.

The average Online Poker player exercise schedule is a trip to the toilet every 6 hrs.
The average Live Poker player exercise schedule is a trip to the gym, followed by a round of golf.

The average Online Poker player makes $1million in prize money a year.
The average Live Poker player borrows $1million a year to fund his poker habit.

As you can see their isn’t many similarity’s between live players and online players. One has fame, and the dream life style. The other dreams of fame and the the dream life style. However, if those Live players would just practice more, they would stop dreaming about becoming a online player and be good enough to live like one.
